    The first headphones were made in 1919. However, I am not sure what exact date it was released in. These were the only headphones that could be used to listen before amplifiers. The first successful headphones were created by Nathaniel Baldwin. He made them by hand in his kitchen and then sold it to the U.S. Navy.
