    Ths event was also called "Black Tuesday" and what happenend in that day is that the New York Stock Exchange crashed and all stock prices fell drastically. Many people during that time period lost their investments, bought less stocks, and unemployment rate rose and many people lost their jobs.

    FFRANKLIN D. ROOSEVELT 32ND PRESIDENT
    During this time period Franklin D. Roosevelt, our 32nd president of the US, really wanted the United States to be in a good state of economy so in order to do that he created the New Deal program. The New Deal consisted of many seperate programs that could help people with money some of the programs were: The Social Security Act, The National Labor Relations Act, The Works Progress Administration, and many more.

    During the Great Depression people lived in hoovervilles which were carboard houses made by people since they lost their money and jobs they couldnt afford to live in nice apartments and just decided to build these type of houses. Roosevelt was tired of seeying people living in these type of houses that he decided to put a stop to the problem and get the United States economy back to the top.

    This was a period where alot of severe dust storms that affected many people especially farmers. This was a huge event since it killed alot of crops that fed the whole nation and it especially affected people since they were dying of pneumonia and malnutriron since there wasnt any food to eat.

    What ended the Great Depression? What ended the Great Depression was the bombing of pearl harbor. This event was when the japanese planned a secret missile strike on pearl harbor and that when the United States declared war and economy grew because of all the war production that was going on.
