    Navagation acts ensured only England would benifit from colonial trade. the outcome of this was that people would start smuggling.
  • Proclamation of 1763

    Proclamation of 1763
    to prevent more fighting, Britain called a halt to the settlers westward expansion and this was known as the Proclamation of 1763. Resulted in Angry colonists and colnflict between britain and colonists
  • Sugar Act

    Sugar Act
    Lower tax on imported molasses and let officers take goods from smugglers without having to go to court. as a result, colonists became angry because they believed the sugar act violated there rights as English citizens
  • Stamp Act

    Stamp Act
    Placed tax on all printed material. As a result, there were boycotts, violence arguments, "taxation without representation", and the stamp act was repealed
  • Declaratory Act

    Declaratory Act
    states that Paliament had right to tax and make descisions for the british colonies all the time
  • Townshend Acts

    Townshend Acts
    set of laws made by parliament that only apply to imported goods. as a result, this angered colonists, groups were formed by daughters of liberty, americans were urged to wear home made fabrics and produce goods instead of buy british goods.

    Allowed virtual monopoly of the trade of tea in America. Resulted in a boycott called by colonial merchants and the Daughters of Liberty said "we'll part with our tea"

    punish people of Massachussets for their resistance to British law. As a result, Colonists became angry because this violated their rights

    this act gave Quebec area west of the Appalachian Mountains and north of the ohio river. as a result of this, Colonists expressed feelings in the Intolerable acts
