  • Start of WW1

    WW1 started when Austrian Archduke Franz Ferdinand is assassinated due to him being a perceived threat to Serbia's independence.
  • Woodrow Wilsons Speech

    Woodrow Wilson made a speech that is trying to convince the American people that going to war is a good thing. The Americans didn't want to go to war and neither did Wilson. When they were finally forced into war he decided that to get the American public on his side they would enter the war to create peace in Europe. This is when he came up with the 14 point plan and presented it to the American government.

    German Revaluation

    The German Revaluation also know as the November Revaluation was a civil conflict that resulted in Kaiser Wilhelm the II being abdicated due to the want of reform from a Federal Constitutional Monarchy into a Democratic Parliamentary Republic.
  • 2 Revolutionaries

    Two revolutions broke out in Berlin. One was Communist (KPD) lead by Karl Liebknecht and Rosa Luxemburg while the other was a Democratic revaluation lead by the Social Democratic Party (SPD). This overrunning was done as an attempt for Hitler to overthrow the Weimer Republic at the Munich Beer Hall Putsch.

    WW1 ended when Germany signed the armistice with the Allies. The armistice was singed in a train carriage in Le Francport France.

    Paris Peace Conference

    It was during the Paris peace conference that the TOV was drafted. After approximately 12 months of debate, discussion and change the Allies and Germany got together and signed it at the Hall of Mirrors in Versailles.
  • First President

    Germanys first president Fredrich Ebert is elected into power by the people through the new democratic system. The people voted in the Social Democratic Party (SDP) and they nominated him to be their leader.
  • Treaty of Versailles Signed (TOV)

    The German delegates were brought to the great hall of mirrors to sign the treaty of Versailles. The reason that the treaty was singed by the Germans was because there where in no way ready or able to restart the war and keep the allies out of their country.
  • Weimer Constitution Signed

    Germanys first president Fredrich Ebert signed a new German constitution into law. He got rid of the old constitution that was set up by Kaiser and introduced the new one into politics. This is when Germany as a nation finally became a democracy rather than a constitutional monarchy.
  • Hitler's 1st Speech

    Hitler gave his first political address which is where he found that he was a natural born speaker turning him into a great leader.
  • Treaty of Versailles Effect (TOV)

    The treaty of Versailles came into effect over 12 months after the end of WW1 and the Paris Peace Conference.

    Kapp Putsch

    An attempt made by the right wing political group NSDAP. It was lead by Hitler and was only defeated when civilians went on strike. The army refused to fire on them as they didn't want to fire on their own kind. "Strike, stop working, strangle this military dictatorship." (Alpha History). This was a message put out by the government as a way to stop the Kapp Putsch.

    Beer Hall Putsch or Munich Putsch

    The Beer Hall Putsch was an attempt made by Hitler and Ludendorff to overthrow the Bavarian government and take control. At the start it went to plan as they held the three Bavarian leaders at gun point and forced them to let the Nazi's overtake. As there was trouble outside which Hitler had to sort meaning the government officials were freed causing them to call in reinforcements. Hitler then went to the Beer Hall to call a revolution but shots were fired, Hitler hid and was put in jail.
  • Krystallnacht

    Night of Broken Glass or when the Nazi's stormed German Jews and murdered hundreds, robbed, broke glass and generally sabotaged anything belonging to Jews.
