Austri's Union
Austria was Hitler's first target. German troops marched into Austria unopposed. A day later Germany announced that its union with Austria was complete. -
Czechoslavakia's Defeat
France and Great Britian had promised to protect Czechoslavakia but when the war seemed inevitable, Hitler invited the French premier and Brittish prime minister to discuss how Czechoslavakia would be his last territorial demand. In their eagerness to avoid war they let him. Czechloslavakia ceased to exist. -
Spring of 1939
The Soviet Union declares neutrality. Just like Czechoslavakia, Hitler charged that germans were mistreated by the poles. -
