    On November 5th, 1937, Adolf Hitler had a meeting with his top military advisers discussing ways to expand Germany. Then, abruptly, boldly, and with confidence, Hitler declared that in 'order for Germany to grow, they needed the land of its neighbors.'

    German troops march into Austria to annex the country for the Third Reich. They stand mostly unopposed, as most of the people of Austria are German-speaking Nazi Party sympathizers. This was known as, “Anschluss.”

    The Nuremberg synagogue is destroyed by Nazis
    On August 11, 1938, Nazi soldiers march into a Nuremberg, Germany synagogue and demolish the building. German and Nazi supremacy begins to rise in this time. This is also around the time Nazi death camps started to appear more across the German expanse.

    On September 1st, 1939, Germany and the Nazi party invades Poland in an attempt to take the country over. Germany and the Nazi Party managed to conquer the entirety of Poland in just 28 Days.

    Two days after the invasion of Poland, on September 03, 1939, both Britain and France declared war on Germany. Neville Chamberlain had announced at 11:15 AM that the deadline for German withdraw from Poland had expired, and that they were going to take this as an act of war.

    Warsaw is the capital of Poland. When the Germans were able to take over Warsaw, the Polish people they knew that it meant the end of their defense against Germany.This is the first example of a German “Blitzkrieg,” which is a fighting tactic of lightning quick warfare.

    An agreement that both Chamberlain and Hitler were the chancellors for. The agreement stated that Germany was allowed to extend its territory into parts of Czechoslovakia where there were mostly German-speaking communities. This land was named, “Sudetenland.” This was an attempt to appease Germany.

    With German’s taking over of Czechoslovakia, the world now had solid proof that Hitler wanted more than just a ‘greater Germany.’ By doing this, he also broke the Munich Pact.

    An agreement between Germany and Russia that stated that for the next 10 years, neither country would take military action against each other. This agreement is otherwise known as the Hitler/Stalin Pact.
