    It was Georgias first college and it meant to educate all white men regardless if they are wealthy or poor. It affected Georgia because it brought in more settlers so they could go to school and help out the Georgia community
  • Louisville

    Louisville
    Georgia's 3rd capital city from 1796 to 1807. Moved location after GA population moved west. It affected GA because it was our 3rd capital city and it was one of the main marks in GA.
  • Cotton Gin

    Cotton Gin
    A machine created by Eli Whitney that made cotton easier to pick the seeds out of. It affected GA because it made it easier to pick and they got cotton faster so they could make more items out of it.
  • Yazoo Land Fraud

    Yazoo Land Fraud
    The Yazoo Land Fraud was when government officials were bribed to give away over 1000 acres for a low price. The government officials got 1.25 million dollars in return for 1000 acres at a cheap price. It affected GA because citzens were ripped off and betrayed by the government officials even though they recieved alot of money.

    Also a method to distribute land. Orphans, white men, and widows were allowed to buy tickets used to determine the area of land they were given. It affected Ga because it gave away land and GA received more income.

    A new and faster way to travel in GA. Reduced need for horses and wagons. Also it got items and goods faster to where they needed to be. It affected GA because it reduced the amount of time for travel and got settlers to GA alot faster and more efficient.

    The 2 largest church denominations in GA after the AMerican Revolution. Spread across the state after population moved west. it affected GA because chrsitanity was then spread all through GA and it gave people churches to go to on Sundays.
