    The Berlin conference devides Africa into 50 countries and Rwanda is given to Germany. This leads to the next event because war occurs, and the Germans lose, Do to this, Belgium recieves control over Rwanda.

    After Germany loses WW1 Belgium gains the control and power over Rwanda. A war was started and Germany happened to be in the war. Eventually, Germany lost, and as another penalty of losing, they lost Rwanada, and Belgium gained control.

    Rwanda finally gained independence after a while of being controlled by other people. This leads to the next event because people are mad that they got control over themselves again.

    26 people were executed for their murders. This leads to the next event because they think killing all of these people is a little extreme, so they get them into court and try to make them confess to their crimes. If they confess, the get a lighter sentence in jail.

    There are 100,000 people in jail waiting trial for genocide, Therefore the Rwandan governmet encouraged Gacaca courts to be set up; these trails are very brief, and guilty are given lighter sentences after they confess.
