    This was a series of measures that were passed through the British Parliament that taxed goods that were imported to the American Colonies. The colonists would boycott the British goods in hopes of them repealing the act.

    The Tea Act gave the company permission and the right to ship its tea straight to the colonies without stopping through England. The colonists were upset with this act as well.
