The war was between British American and New France that pinned the Native Americans to each side to fight over territory. Many of the American Colonists working together during this time in order to fight against the British Government. -
The Stamp Act was an act aimed at ending smuggling trade in sugar and molasses by created taxes that would revenue the British after the debt following the war. The American Colonists responded to this act by protesting and thought that they shouldn't have to pay that tax. -
The Stamp Act put a tax on British Stamps which were mandatory to have on various papers and documents. This angered many colonists who thought it was unfair to tax something that was already forced to have, especially lawyers and newspaper printers. -
The point of the Declaratory Act was to show that the British had the power to add taxes in an "in all cases whatsoever" style. The American Colonists didn't really have much of a reaction to the Act and only focused on repealing the Stamp Act. -
The Townshend Act was a series of laws passed by the British Government that restricted American Colonists by taking away much of their freedom by taxing goods imported to them. This angered the American Colonists because the Townshend Act indirectly assingned taxes to them after they had already got rid of the Stamp Act. -
The Tea Act was made in order to save the British' troubled enterprise by skipping the stop at England first and dropping off cheap tea to the colonists. The act caused the American colonists to oppose it because it seemed to validate the Townshed Act and ended up causing the Colonists to pour 4 million dollars woth of tea into the Boston Harbor, known as the Boston Tea Party. -
The revolutionary war was the 13 colonies fight against the Great Britains rule. All of the American Colonies fought together to get rid of Britains taxation policies. The American colonists were annoyed with the fact that even though they weren't members of Parliment, they still had to pay the taxes imposed by Parliment which was one of the reasons on why the Revolutionary War was started in the first place.
