  • Stock Market Crash

    Just before the Presidential election the U.S. stock market crashes creating the Great Depression. This becomes a very serious problem that can make or break any president. Luckily FDR has a plan to fix this issue

    FDR is elected President of the United States after defeating Herbert Hoover

  • FDR's first 100 days.

    During the first 100 days of his presidency, FDR began creating the New Deal. There were two 'New Deals'. This was an effort to help the American people rebuild their lives and bring back the stock market. The first New Deal was focused on creating jobs for the people and was seen as an immediate relief. Families were finally able to earn money through government created jobs to support themselves and hopefully help others in need.
  • FDR's First 100 Days

    During the first 100 days FDR created the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC), the AAA (Agricultural Adjustment Administration), he signed the Home Owners Refinancing Act, the Agricultural Adjustment Act and the Banking Act. He also established the National Recovery Administration, the Public Works Administration and the Civil Works Administration. He also ended prohibition which had been a heated issue for many years.
  • The Second New Deal

    As the Great Depression continued even after FDR's first New Deal he created the Second New Deal. This New Deal focused on creating more jobs for more people. In an effort to create more jobs he created the Works Progress Administration (WPA). He also created the Social Security Act which promised that the government would assist you once you retired.
  • FDR beats Alfred Landon

    FDR beats Alfred Landon in the presidential election and is re-elected as president and serves a second term.
  • World War II

    Hitler invades Poland which starts the second world war. FDR is Adamant about not joining and states "I hate war". As the war continues America is sending supplies to allied countries which help boost our economy.
  • Third Presidential term

    FDR is elected again and still remains the only president to serve more than two terms. He was re-elected because he had promised that he would not send our troops over seas as the war continued to grow.
  • Pearl Harbor

    Up until this point the only involvement that America had in the war was sending supplies and vehicles to our allies in an effort to help without setting foot on the enemy land. But then Japan attacked America by attacking Pearl Harbor as an act of terrorism. FDR had no choice but to enter the war and making them pay for what they did.
  • Imprisonment

    In an effort to control what was happening over seas and on our own soil FDR signed the Executive Order 9066 which meant that we were going to imprison any Japanese american citizens as a precaution to make sure there was no way of them attacking us on our land.
  • Re-re-election

    FDR is elected again for a fourth term during the middle of WWII. He is still the only president to serve more than two terms but his fourth election was justifiable as he helped lead America through WWII.
  • FDR's Death

    FDR was not in the best condition throughout his entire presidential terms. He was diagnosed with Polio at a young age which lead him to end up in a wheel chair in his presidency. His cause of death was from a cerebral hemorrhage
