    n 1519 AD Francisco Pizarro arrested Balboa and a few others. He was handed over to a man named Pedro Arias de `Avila, who was Balboa's rival. Balboa was beheaded. Pizarro was awarded a small fortune, an estate, and was made mayor of Panama city

    In 1533 AD Pizarro accompanied with less than 200 men went to meet the Incan emperor, Atahualpa. Pizarro and his men then abducted Atahualpa. The Inca sent Pizarro and his men a room full of silver and gold for Atahualpa’s ransom, but he was still killed.

    Pizarro and his men attacked Cuzco 1533 AD. With the advantage of guns and cannons over 2,000 Inca were killed and 5,000 were taken prisoner. The city was looted.

    In 1535 AD Pizarro created Lima. It would be the new capital of Peru. Pizarro was its mayor for 10 years.
