    Francesco Meets World

    Francesco Meets World
    Italian mannerist, painter, architect and sculptor Francesco Primaticcio was born during the Renaissance in Bologna. He spent most of his career in France. He was student of Giulio Romano in Mantua Palazzo del Te. He and Rosso Fiorentino achieved one of the most beautiful brilliantly done masterpieces yet today in Fountainebleau. He was also good friends with king Henry VIII.

    Working in Mantua
    Francesco Primaticcio worked in Mantua from 1525 to 1532. He was taught by Giulio Romano in the Palazzo del Te---where Giulio instructed one of the most intricate programs of mannerist art in all of Italy during the Renaissance, it stood for an order of mythological scenes and motifs in frescoes and stucco reliefs in a decorative manner.

    Fountainebleau

    Fountainebleau
    Francesco Primaticcio was called to France to take part on the royal palace of Francis I decorations at Fountainebleau. He managed to impress everyone there since he did as Giulio Romano had taught him a skilled knowledge of; classical nymohs, satyrs, Roman gods and goddesses, and a new era of paintings mixed with stuccoes that decorated the French palace for the next 150 years.. It is said that these type of paintings where introduced by Primaticcio himself!
