    Between mid-November and early January, a pro-independence terrorist group Indipensiya Bakenfray, sparked a conflict after taking Winston Hargreaves PM, his staff, and family hostage. The conflict was aided on both sides by many international countries and eventually led to the coup d'état of Winston Hargreaves in mid December. The conflict ended after the Bromlavian government promised to increase funding into the region by building new public services like hospitals.

The vast majority of Bromley was flooded and many people died. The Conservatives lost a lot of popularity during this event due to a lack of action.

    A car exploded outside the Bromlavian Home Office on Mardy Gay Street, severely damaging the building along with the Sanmarquino Embassy and Foreign Office. Minor damage occurred to Parliamentary buildings opposite. It was concluded that this was not a Barkenfrier terrorist attack but a suicide bombing by a mentally unstable man named Alfred Frint.

Prime Minister Sally Hansen was criticised for her lack of empathy towards civilians killed in the attack and was accused of being a terrorist sympathiser.
