This act helped provide relief to home owners by giving them money to refinance their mortgages. This financial aid prevented many people from losing their homes.

Resettlement Administration

This administration aimed to provide relief to struggling families by relocating them to government-created communities.

Works Progress Administration (WPA)

This administration helped to employ millions of people on relief to carry out temporary public works jobs until the economy stabilized.

Wagner Act (NLRB)

This reforming act ensured employees the right to form unions and take collective action.

Social Security Act

This reform act provided benefits for older workers, victims of accidents, unemployed, dependent mothers and children, blind, and handicapped.

Soil Conservation Act

This act aimed to reform the farming system by paying farmers to grow less crops. In doing so, the soil would be preserved and there would be less erosion.
