1st Trimester
Week 1 -12 -
End of First Month
The baby starts being an embryo in day 12 and by the end of month one it is a clear embryo forming into a human. The baby is 1/4 inch long, about the size of a grain of rice! -
End of First Trimester
At the end of the first trimester, in 12 weeks the baby is now a fetus with teeth and arms and legs and all the vital organs. The baby is about 3-4 inches and weighs about 1 ounce. -

2nd Trimester

Week 14 in Second Trimester
In week 14 the fetus will reach the final lengths of his limbs and neck. The baby’s sex will appear during this week, if the fetus is a girl, ovaries will start to form, and for the boys the prostate gland will appear. Now the fetus is 3 and a half inches long and weighs 40 grams. -
Week 18 in Second Trimester
In week 18 the fetus will be able to hear. Now, the baby is 5 and a half inches long and weighs 200 grams. -
Beggining of third Trimester
In week 28 the baby weighs about 2 pounds, 6 ounces, and changes position often at this point in pregnancy. If the baby is to be born prematurley now, there is a good chance it will survive. -

Your baby's about 15.7 inches long now, and she weighs almost 3 pounds. It is a well developed fetus now. -
Week 36 in the Third Trimester
On average, a baby at this stage is about 18.5 inches and weighs close to 6 pounds. The brain has been developing rapidly. Lungs are nearly fully developed. -
