Their reasoning for doing this was God, Gold, and Glory. Many of his men stayed in Mexico and married Indain women which was considered bad.

    The Pequot War was between the tribe Pequot and the Massachusetts Bay, Plymouth, and Saybrook colonies. Hundreds were killed and many were injured. The members of the tribe were taken into slavery.
  • English Civil War

    The English Civil War started when Charles I dismissed Parliament and started persecuting Puritans which caused a divide in England that ended up becoming a Civil War. Even in the Northern American colonies were affected by the English Civil War because they too took sides in the war.
  • King Philip's War

    King's Philip's War, sometimes called Metacom's war, was between Native Americans and English colonist. The war did not come to an end until the leader, Metacom, was killed and a treaty was signed at Casco Bay in April 1678.
