The English Civil War started when Charles I dismissed Parliament and started persecuting Puritans which caused a divide in England that ended up becoming a Civil War. Even in the Northern American colonies were affected by the English Civil War because they too took sides in the war. -
King Philip's War
1675-1676
King's Philip's War, sometimes called Metacom's war, was between Native Americans and English colonist. The war did not come to an end until the leader, Metacom, was killed and a treaty was signed at Casco Bay in April 1678.
