Where dogs originate from

The oldest known dog like fossil came from the continent Europe. However DNA studies implicated East Asia and the Middle East. Now a big DNA study is lining with the dog like fossil, suggesting that dogs may have came from Europe 19,000 - 32,000 years ago.

24,000 BCE

When dogs first appeared in the USA

Some archeological traces of dogs being in the USA can be traced back to 9,000 -35,000 years ago

Hunting dogs

It is thought that dogs have been used to hunt 20,000 years ago. With that being said they were used for hunting while humans were still hunter gatherers and agriculture hadn’t even been invented

When humans started to domisticate dogs

Humans first started to domesticated dogs 6,400 - 14,000 years ago the dog they domesticated is known as the Eurasian wolf, these were domesticated individualistic until they went extinct and going into two distinct dog populations

The ancestor to all those little dogs have been pinned down to the Middle East. Studies show that every domestic breed comes from the grey wolf

The first dog food that was specifically for dogs was not made until the mid 1800 when James Spratt noticed that dogs ate scraps of biscuits while he was in londen that he made the first dog food that was specifically made for them.

Dog whistles were created in 1876 also known as the Galton whistle is still used to this day to discipline them or calm them down and if not used correctly hurt them

When dogs first appeared in the police force

Dogs were used on a large scale in continental Europe on the police force. Later police in Paris used police dogs to help against roaming criminals . Although these countries used police dogs Ghent, and Belgium are places that first introduced the first police do service program in 1899

The oldest known dog breed which is the afghan hound which originated from Afghanistan and
the dog breed first appeared in the USA in 1926

How dogs have helped humans

Dogs were first trained as service dogs in 1929 and the program that taught them at the time was the The seeing eye program. Once done with the program the dogs were ready to starte helping humans with needs.
