    Nato is a multi country military allience. This was created in 1948 as a result of the treaty of brussels. The main object of this agreement was to create a force that could defend itself against the USSR during the cold war

    This was a war between south korea, supported by the U.S., and north Korea, supported by China. This war was mostly caused by dividing Korea. This war only lasted a little over three years.

    This was a defense treaty that was signed by eight communist states. This was signed on May 14, 1955 in Warsaw. This was the soviets rebbutle to the creation of NATO.

    This was a military conflict during the cold war between soviet and anti-soviet powers. This was an extremly bloody war that lasted just under nineteen and a half years. This war has also been called the vietnam conflict or the second indochina war.

    Fidel castro becomes the 16th prime minister of cuba. He does this during the cuban revolution as he rallied many of the people. He was famous for smoking his cuban cigars. He also had a pretty sweet beard.

    After WWII Berlin was divided into four sectors that the citizens could move freely through. As the cold war progressed, these freedoms soon became restricted. The creation of this wall came to a suprise to the western powers, but did not challenge it. Construction began on Augest 13, 1961.

    The soviets deployed missles to cuban, which was within launch distance of U.S. soil. The U.S. took this as a huge threat and retaliated with threating to strike. This standoff was ended by Khrushchev's choice to remove the missles.

    The berlin wall was theoriticly torn down on this historic day which marked the approaching end of the cold war. Citizens would come to the wall to knock off parts of the wall to keep like woodpeckers. It was a day of joy and harmony.
