Even though titled Battle of Bunker HIll, the real battle occured on Breed's hill. It was when the rebels attacked the British at Breed's Hill. After many waves of retreats by the British, they finally came for a third wave and defeated the Americans. Even though the British won, they suffered a huge loss of men.

Saratoga was a crucial step for the Americans to win the revolution. General Burgoyne, who was leading the British troops, planned to march south to Albany, New York, but was slowed down by the colonists. On the first battle on September 19, British lost two people for every one person lost on the rebels' side. The second battle, the Battle of Bemis Heights, was another big loss that forced the British to step back. #hahabritish

    Low Point: Valley Forge
The winter spent at Valley Forge was a very harshly cold one. The soldiers were lefting freezing, with a lack of supplies and little food. Some soldiers were leaving and there army was decreasing, so Washington had Thomas Paine, a motivational writer, come in an motivate the men to stay and fight the cold. Von Steuben, a French man, designed a training plan and trained the soldiers to fight better. These people help turn Valley Forge around for the better (a little). #so...cold!

The Articles of Confederation signified a form of government between the states. The representatives of the thirteen states agree to create a confederacy called the United States of America, in which each state maintains its own power and all rights to govern, except the rights that were only for the Congress. Two to seven representatives were elected from each state. #thatdidntworktoowell
