    Turning Point-Saratoga
Saratoga is considered a turning point because it is when the French joined Washington's army, replenishing them and giving them the much needed supplies and support. In the first battle, the British had advanced south. A militia of sharpshooters from Virginia harrassed the soldiers while colonists charged into them and won. In the second battle, the Colonists won without ever engaging in to a full combat - the British fully surrendered on October 17th. #twobattles

The first constitution of the United States. It wasn't until March 1, 1781, that all 13 Colonies were ratified however. The Articles created a very loose confederation, and the power was mainly within the states. The United States Constitution replaced the Articles of Confederation on March 4, 1789. #firstconstitution

    Low Point- Valley Forge

With 2,000 log cabin's,people typically think of Valley Forge as the lowest point for the soldiers-half naked,.starving, and battling the elements. The first month, provisions were hard to come by and they had to make do.However, a majority of the soldiers were mainly fully uniformed, and they learned how to make 'firecakes', a mixture of flower and water. But as the spring neared, so did disease.Of the 2,000 men that died at Valley Forge, 2/3 died from disease.#badchoice
