    these are the major and disaterous events that led to the first war that would involve the entire world to start fighting.
  • Bismark's Rise to power

    Bismark's Rise to power
    Quick history of the German EmpireWhen Bismarck was made prime minister by Kaiser in 1862 he had the idea of making a true united Germanic state (this idea would later be used by Adolf in world war II) and his first step was conquering the country of Austria and after a war of only seven weeks the Prussian army conquered Austria though the war expanded the German empire it was done so against the emperor Kaiser's wishes.

    France Vs. Prussia
    Napoleon III pressured by both his military commanders and political matters declared war on Prussia on the 19th of July which in only a few months of fighting the Prussian military machine barreled and crushed the French forces deposing Napoleon III from the throne and creating the Third French Republic.
  • The Three Emperors League

    This was an alliance between three major empires that of Bismark's German Empire, The Austria-Hungary Empire and Russia which would help each other in times of war the alliance would soon be disbanded though as Russia left the alliance 5 years later in 1878 leaving Germany with a dual alliance with Austria-Hungary.

    This treaty was to prevent from Germany to having to face both France and Russia if dragged into war, thought the treaty stated that Russia would not have to come to Germany's aid if it attacked France and Germany would not come to Russia's aid if it were to attack Germany's close ally Austria-Hungary.

    Russia and Frances Response to the Reinsurance Treaty was a loosely said agreement in which Russia allied with France and if either of the countries found itself at war with another country it would consult one another and provide support they would also due so if each country thought that the stability of Europe was at stake (which it wasn't very stable to begin with). The loosely said agreement became finalized at the Military Convention in 1892.

    The Pig War was an economical struggle between Austria and Serbia the main struggle being exports from country to counrty which resulted in fighting over sea and taxation of exports to stop the violence serbia built a blockade excluding all Austrian imports to Serbia this blockade became another key reason Austria attacked Serbia in 1914

    The Bosnian Crisis
    This crisis began when Austria-Hungary lost most of the control of Bosnia and Herzegovina because of this it eventually led to them being annexed from Austria-Hungary entirely this enraged Serbia who was closely involved with Bosnia for they were graphically and ethically alike. As a result Serbia demanded that Austria-Hungary give them a portion of the annexed Bosnia and Herzegovina.

    The Balkan War: the beginningThis was a major war that lasted for 7 months between the Balkan league and the crumbling Ottoman Empire The main fight would be for territory that the Ottomans still had control over this war would result in the Ottomans almost complete destruction and most of its European territories were captured and portioned by European countries.

    This War was fought when Bulgaria dissatisfied from it's spoils from the first Balkan War Attacked its former Allies Serbia And Greece in hopes of gaining more territories that were captured by Serbia and Greece. Bulgaria would lose the war losing most of it's territories to Greece, Siberia, Russia, and even the now small ottoman empire this war would lead to the third Balkan war or more commonly known as The First World War.

    The Assassination Of Archduke Franz Ferdinad
    The blsck hand Assassination of Franz Ferdinand The Final push to igniting the First World War was the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand which took place in Sarajevo, Bosnia. With the assassination of the Archduke and his wife Bosnia was able to break from the Austria-Hungary Empire but in turn Austria-Hungary Declared War on Serbia and Bosnia because of this Russia was forced to protect its ally Serbia and when Russia joined Germany declared war on Russia kick starting the First World War.
