  • The Stamp Act

    The Stamp Act
    The stamp act was imposed upon the colonists and it created new taxes on new documents. It was originally used to create taxes on the soldies in the Appalachian Mountains. The act infuriated the colonists and was the first of the Intolerable Acts
  • The Boston Massacre

    The Boston Massacre
    A “patriot” mob was throwing stones, sticks, and snowballs at the British. The presence of the British was very unwelcome so the commoners stormed them. A British officer called attack and then 3 people were killed on the spot, and 8 injured. Later 2 of the injured died in the hospital. it occured because. A defiant anti-British fever was lingering among the townspeople. This is considered to be the first battle of the revolutionary war.
  • Intolerable Acts

    The Prime Minister passed a series of 5 laws to punish the Americans. They are; The Boston Port Act, Massachusetts Government Act, Quartering Act, Quebec Act , and the Administration of Justice Act. The date shown above was the date in which the first right was passed.
  • The Boston Tea Party

    The Boston Tea Party
    Three ships were supposedly docked at what was known then as Griffin’s Wharf. Those three ships were Beaver, Eleanor and Dartmouth. Griffin’s Wharf was just a few blocks away from the Old South Meeting House. Due to high taxes that were placed on items, colonists participated in an uproar against Britain. They were gathered at Griffin’s Wharf, and then proceeded to dump 92,000 pounds of tea that was aboard over the side of the boat.

    The Battle of Lexington and Concord was the start of the Revolutionary War. The colonists had tension building between the British because of taxes and not treating the colonists fairly.
