    Stamp Act The stamp act of 1765 was tax on the colonist by the British.The act was passed without debate by the colonist. The British was in debt from the 7 year war and needed to pay it off. This caused an outbreak of anger among the colonist. Mobs broke out against the stamp act due to the tax on the poor who already struggle financially.

    Boston Massacre The Boston massacre happened on March 5th 1770. It stared with a mob of colonist harassing British soldiers. The British then killed 5 colonist and injured 6. This was a bad way to respond to the harassing the British got especially since the colonist were defenseless. This event reminded the colonist what they were fighting for. The Boston Massacre was not an asymmetrical attack it was just an unexpected killing of towns people by the British.

    Boston Tea Party The sons of Liberty dressed as Indians and dumped 342 chests of tea into the Boston Harbor. This act was a protest against the British tea act of 1773. 60 men helped dump 42 tons of tea into the Boston Harbor December 16th 1773. This act was talked about in the Old South Meeting House in Boston with around 5,000 colonist and carried out later that night.

    Battle of Bunker Hill On June 17th 1775 a battle between the British and Patriots took place. There were 1,000 British wounded or killed and 300-500 Patriots killed or wounded. It was a bloody battle but the British managed to win the battle after 2 hours with heavy loss. This was not an asymmetrical battle because America and the British both fought and didn't run away.

The British had 273 loses and the Patriots only had 93. The British also retreated which created a victory for the Americans.

Published in January 1776 in Philadelphia it sold around 50,000 to 120,000 copies. Common Sense spoke to America and openly asked for independence from Great Britain.

    Battle of Trenton George Washington took his men across the Delaware River to reach Trenton. On December 26th 1776 the Patriots made a surprise attack on Britain. They won against Britain and took the town of Trenton.

    Continental army wintering at Valley Forge The American troops camped in Valley Forge during the harsh winter of 1777-1778. The camp was in Pennsylvania 25 miles northeast of Philadelphia. It was a terrible winter and many soldiers died from disease and lack of clothes and food. This was not an asymmetrical way to fight because Washingtons men were simply camping at a place for the winter waiting for war.

    The British attacked America on September 19th 1777. The Americans were forced to withdraw but did not surrender. On October 19th 1777 the Americans celebrated a huge victory against the British who surrendered. This was an asymmetrical battle because it involved the Americans running to weaken Britain till they surrendered.

    Battle of Princeton The Battle of Princeton took place January 3rd 1777, shortly after the Battle of Trenton. The outcome had the British lose 100 men and 300 taken as prisoner. The Americans only lost 25 to 30 men. The Americans won this battle and gave them a hope of winning the war.

    Battle of Yorktown The Battle of Yorktown was the battle that ended the American Revolution. It started September 28th 1781 and ended on October 19th 1781. The British surrendered and lost 156 men, had 326 wounded, and the rest of the 7,018 were taken as prisoners. The Battle of Yorktown was an asymmetrical battle because America used certain moves against the British that was unexpected and dangerous but they still managed to win.
