  • The Albany Congress

    The British government met with the Colonial leaders. This took place in Albany New York.This took place because the colonies needed to cooperate and work as a group to be abke to defeat the French

    The French and Indian War

    The French and the Indians vs the British and the Iroquois with the Colonists. THey are fighting over the Ohio river valley. The British won the French and Indian war. When the French lost all there land in North America was lost
  • The Sugar Act

    The Sugar Act was A tax that was on sugary items including molasses. Also if you were caught smuggling you had harsh punishments. This tax was imposed by the British. This tax was in North America.
  • The treaty of Paris

    This event happened because the French had lost Quebec and were affraid that they were going to lose all of there North American land to Britian. The British also gained Spanish Florida, New Orleans, and territory west of the Mississippi.
  • The Quartering Act

    This Act was allowing the soldiers to stay with the colonists and the colonists could not turn it down. This happened in the colonies. the colonists protested and complained that there rights were being violated.

    Pontiacs War

    The leader of the Ottawa nation Pontiac formed an alliance with the Native Americans of the west. 2000 backcountry settelers were killed and over a dozen forts were destroyed
  • Proclomation of 1763

    This event happened because the British wanted to avoid any furhter wars with the Native Americans. It also banned the settlement west of the Appalacian mountains. This didnt hold up for long because the colonists felt like they could reside wherever they wanted to.
  • Stamp Act

    The Stamp act was a tax by the British on the colonists on everything paper. the British did this because they needed to pay off there debt.
  • The Boston Massacre

    The workers were protesting and the British were forced to repeal there taxes exept on tea. The next day the British were being surrounded by the colonists who were throwing snow and rocks at the British. Then the British fired shots and killed 2 and wounded 4
  • Tea Act

    The British Parlement declared that the West India was the only tea seller in Boston. But right then the Colonists boycotted the tea and didn't buy any British goods.
  • Boston Tea Party

    In 1773 the Sons Of Liberty were telling every ship that came to their port that they wouldn't buy any of the tea that they brought over. After dawn the Native Americans boarded a ship and threw 342 cases of tea overboard which was worth a million dollars
  • The Intolerable Acts

    The Intolerable acts were 4 laws the first on was to shut down the port of Boston. 2nd law was to abolish the upper house of Massachusetts legislature. The 3rd one was if anyone had murdered or been accused they were sent to Britain to be questioned by the British colonial . The 4th law was that the Quartering Act would be strengthened
  • First Continental Congress

    The Continental Congress took place in Philadelphia in 1774. 12 of the 13 colonies sent delegates to discuss this matter. Georgia dint send delegates but one of the delegates was John Adams. This meeting happened because the colonies wanted the British to repeal the Intolerable acts also to not buy British goods.
  • Battles of Lexington and Concord

    These war took place because the British were coming to the colonies to tell the colonists to buy British goods. These wars happened because the colonists told the British we wouldn't buy British goods unless they took down the Intolerable acts.
  • The Second Contidental Congress

    The second contidental congress happened in Philadelphia. The reason the groups came together is to discuss and declare independence. The people came from 13 colonies.
  • Battle of Fort Ticondiroga

    A Battle in north New York at the end of Lake Champlain. The 83 people that attacked the fort were part of the Green Mountain Boys they snuck up on 42 British soldiers gaurding the base and took it easily. They took all the cannons and took the 30 mile walk back home
  • Olive Branc Petition

    It was a petition to the king of Britian that the colonists were loyal to the king and asked the king to stop the fightinig and disputes between the colonists. The petition got its name because the olive branch was the symbol of peace. But the king didnt even read it and sent 20000 soldiers to the colonies in return
  • Battles for Bunker hill and Breeds hill

    These battles were very dependent on later dates because the british soldiers that were in boston were getting fired at by cannons on Breeds hill. on Bunker hill the American soldiers dug underneath the ground and waited for the british to move closer to save ammo. On the third rush by the British the Americans ran out of ammo
  • Invasion of Quebec

    The British invaded Quebec through Maine. Through a severe snow storm the British attacked Quebec.The British sent a new round of troops but it didn't matter but the Americans died of diseases and hunger.

    The British withdrawald from Boston because the Americans had cannons fireing from the top of the hill at there ships and killing thousands
