  • Pontiac's Rebellion

    Many Native American leaders disliked the British and after the French and Indian War. They weren't respectful of their lands and weren't as nice as the French. They teared down their forests and took their lands. One of those leaders, Pontiac, decided to bring a war towards the British settlements. This brought disorder and fear to the colonies. Soon, the would come and eventually end it all.
  • Proclamation Act

    This act warned all colonists not to occupy land from west of the Appalachian Mountains. They promised the Native Americans not to bother them again. In return, they made a promise never to bother again. Britain decided it was time to take further measures of precaution.
  • The Sugar Act

    This act or tax was placed on sugar and molasses. The British needed the money to pay for new troops to protect the colonies. However, the colonies were never consulted or even mentioned about adding this new tax on them. When the tax was placed, the colonists were angry that they weren't talked to so they began to protest. They boycotted sugar and refused to pay the taxes. In result, they came up with a slogan ,"No taxation, without representation".
  • The Stamp Act

    The Stamp Act was a requirement for any paper items. For any items with paper including playing cards, documents, newspapers, etc., to place a special seal on these items before buying them. This, of course, upset the colonists. In protest, they formed a secret society called the Sons of Liberty. These men burned any stamped papers they found and frightened tax collectors.
  • Declaratory Act

    The government of Britain, Parliament, placed a statement
