    Uncle Tom's Cabin was a novel published in March of 1852. It was written by Harriet Beecher Stowe as a anti-slavery book. It opened people's eyes to the cruelty of slavery which caused a lot of tension between people in the United States. It was the most popular book of the time whether people agreed with what was written or not people bought it and read it. Sometimes it was even publically burned.

    It was a fail attemp of rebellion where John Brown and his men tried to convince slaves to join them when they take over the arsenal in Harpers Ferry, viriginia. But ended up having no volunteers and were captured in a firehouse. John Brown then wrote a speech that said he was willing to give up his life for justice.
