    The Fugitive Slave Act was a dangerous law favored by the South which allowed a run away slave to be captured and returned to there "owner". The law however was taken advantage of and people were capturing free blacks and "returning" them to there respected homes, although they were not slaves.

    This book was about slavery, and the reasin slavery should be abolished. It was read by many, while the North agreed with it, the South disiked the book.
