    John Brown's raid on Harper's ferry
    John brown was a radical abolitionist, or in other words, he was extremly aposed to slavery. He dicided it was a good idea to raid a large military base in harper's ferry to arm slaves for a huge revolt. It was a massive failure and John Brown was caught and exucuted. The importance of this was that the north thought of John Brown as a martyr instead of a terrorist, which shocked the south and largly divided the country.
