    The battle was between thee British and the French. The French were mad because Great Britain was trying to take the Ohio Valley from the French, which caused a lot of fighting. It was known as the seven year war.

    The British made a law saying that no colonist can settle or live beyond this invisible line or else there will be a punishment. Like being decapitated. The colonists were mad so they passed it anyway.

    Since Great Britain was in debt so they put taxes on the colonies. One of them was the stamp act It was when printed items, newspapers, playing cards and even legal documents were taxed. The colonists were very mad, because they had no representation.

    An angry crowd gathered near the Massachusetts State House in Boston. The crowd insulted, and threw rocks at some British troops, the troops were mad so they fired their guns at them.

    The parliament passed the tea act which ment that the colonies could only trade with the East India Company of Great Britain. Then on the night of Dec 16 members of the sons of liberty dressed up as American Indians, boarded ships and started throwing tea overboard.

    Leaders from all the colonies exept Georgia met in Philadelphia. The meeting was then called The First Continental army.

    Some British soldiers were going to capture the two leaders of Sons of Liberty and stea all their weapons. Paul Revere found out and tod the colonistd during his ride. The colonists fought but mostly died or got injured. No one knew who fired first.

    The British were forced back, never knowing how good the opponent was. Charlston was cannoned and destroyed.
