    The purpose was to direct trade. They could not use foreign ships and could only use british ships for trade. The outcome was many smugglers. They could pay for cheeper ships to get the job done.

    The purpose was to set a Western boundry on the Appalachian mountains. The outcome was speculators got angry because they could'nt claim the land they originally bought.

    The purpose was to stop smugglers from smuggling by lowering the tax on molasses. It also gave rights to soldiers to confiscate objects from smugglers. The outcome was many people felt that their rights were violated.

    Parliament placed a tax on almost all printed material. colonists were angered beause they taxed without their consent. They passed a revolutuion and protested.

    This act was issued to declare colonists independant from Britain. The colonists were hopeful this law was passed

    Parliament placed tax on common items. Colonists reacted by by smuggling more often.

    They taxed tea and controlled how it was shipped. The colonists reacted by boycotting all the tea. Parliament gave in because they lost money.

    This act happend because Parliament wanted to punish the people of Massachusetts for correspondance of british law. The colonists prevented arrival of food and other supplies.

    This act was pased to secure support of French n case of Revolutionary war. Rights of civilians were taken away and that made them mad. Parliament claimed it made them safe.
