The flu is being found in the US because many people begin to get infected
It begins to affect the soldiers in kansas
The flu begins to spread through out the US fast -
First Cases
The first cases reported are in Kansas with 18 infected and 3 deaths -
Flu is shown to the media
The flu is beginning to be brought to the public where it is in the news -
First wave is finished
The first wave of the flu finishes during the spring killing thousands of people -
Cases
Many cases are seen throughout the the summer even though the first wave was finished -
Second Wave Begins
The second wave of the flu begins attacking the Army training camp called Camp Devens which is near Boston
Second wave becomes fatal and spreads rapidly
QUARANTINE STARTS DURING THIS TIME -
Flu vaccine
The vaccine is beginning to be worked on where it costed about $1 million -
The closing of places
Stores and schools begin to shut down
People are now being forced to start wearing masks
People can not be form in large social gatherings -
Quarantine
People start labeling their doors with quarantine signs to show that they have been infected with the flu and are isolating -
The people
The people started having depressive episodes due to the quarantine during the flu which caused many people to be in distress. -
End of second wave
Some stores begin to open back up
People are being encouraged to walk to work instead of using public transportation -
Beginning of the third wave
The third wave was less deadly than the second but still killed many people -
Nurse shortage
People are be encouraged to be a nurse because there has been a shortage of nurses during this time -
end of third wave
the third wave of the flu started to die down during the summer time
