Professional Development for teachers in how to implement "Choice Boards" for students as a way to move into more differentiated curriculum. Teachers in Grades 2-5 will be exptected to use with at least 6 students in their classroom. Examples and curriculum support will be provided through the ALPS Coach.

Having wireless/cloud network along with an updated, expanded network will provide increased opportunities for teaching and learning, addition of other technology devices - laptops/tablets/ipads/byod/etc.

No more Homework Packets sent home on Monday and due the next Monday. Students and their families are engaged in reading, mastering math facts, exploring exciting topics, and using the community resources to support and expand their growth as learners. School web site provides the guidance for parents.

American Canyon Schools have a roll-out plan for all students to have their own 1:1 device. All elementary schools feed into American Canyon High School which expects all students to have a laptop/tablet/ipad/etc. Roll out starts with 8th grade in 2012/13, 7th grade in 2013/14, 6th grade 2014/15, and 5th grade 2015/16, and 4th grade 2016/17.

The lease of this xerox machine will be completed as of June 2017. With document cameras, teachers have no need to make copies. Workbooks are not needed because we no longer will be teaching by filling in the blank. The list goes on and on....
