The first computer mouse
Douglas Engelbart invents and patents the first computer mouse in 1963, it was made of wood and it was nicknamed the mouse for its long mouse tail that came out the end. -
PDP-8
The PDP-8 was the first commercially successful microcomputer. The PDP-8 sold for $18,000, one fifth of the IBM 360 mainframe which sold for $90,000. It was faster, and smaller allowing it to be used in many locations like labs and small buisnesses everywhere. -
Nova
The Data General Corp., started by a group of engineers that left the digital equipment corp., introducved the Nove, it came with 32 kilobytes of memory and costed only $8,000. in the picture is the president of the Data general corp, Ed deCastro. -
The TV Typewriter
Designed by Don Lancaster, the TV typewriter provided athe first display of information on an ordinary TV set. It used only $120 of components, and a 90 minute cassette tape provided supplementary storage of around 100 pages. -
