    Hitler sent in troops and announced a unification of Austria and Germany. He believed he waw able to expand its terroritory. They were unable to do so because of Treay of Versailles, they were unable to be brought together

    Britain and France agreed to Hitler's demands, known as appeasment. The people bleievd if they gave Hitler what he wanted, there wouldnt be war. Chamberlain said, "a peace with honor ... peace in our time" This had failed, In March of 1939, Germnay loaded troops in Czechoslovakia and divided it up. Slovakia was its own name even though it was under German power.

    Hitler wanted the city of Danzig to be returned under the Germans. In May, Hitler also ordered the German army to get ready for war with Poland because they were going to invade. He tried to negoitate with the USSR because he didnt want to have to fight the Soviets also.

    A pact signed by Germany and USSR, a nonagression treaty. Hitler made it so, he can free himself for war against their countries and Polad. Contained a secert part where Poland will be divided between Germany and the Soviet Union.

    September 1, Germany invaded POland, and a coiuple of days later, Britain and France declared war on Germany. WWII has begun. Poland's army was outdated. Germany used new machineary while Poland used horses and carried lances. They were defeated by the Germans.

    The French built a line a concrete and blockages for protectioncalled the Maginot Line. Germans took a parahcute into Netherlands. The Germans smashed in through the French lines. The British and French were trapped in Belgium because they werent able to move quick enough.

    After being trapped, the Germans began to move the allied forces into the English Channel. Hitler had ordered the German forces to stop once they reached to Dunkirk when trying to save them. When the British and French were saved, almost all of British's army equipment stayed there

    The German air force began attacking the English Channel. They wanted to destpry the Royal Air Force, known as the Battle of Britain. German bombers accidentally bombed London, this made the British mad and and they ended up bombing Berlin the night after.
