    St. Augustine was founded by a spanish explorer named Pedro Menendez. It is located in Florida.
  • Roadoke ( Lost colony)

    Roadoke is of the coast of North Carolina but, no one knows what happened to the colonists. Only 15 of them stayed and the rest went back to England.
  • New Netherland

    New Netherland
    New Netherland is part of what is now New York, New Jersey, Delawere, and Connecticut. It was claimed by the dutch and became an english colony.
  • Jamestown

    Jamestown is in Virginia and was the first permanent colony in North America. 2/3 of the people there died because of diseases, Indian attacks, bad drinking water and bad food.
  • Plymith

    Plymith is by the Massachusetts bay colony. They went to America on the Mayflower to have freedom of their religean.
  • Williamsburg

    Williamsburg is between the James and The New York rivers. it was named after King William the 3 and was a very rich colony.
  • Pennsylvania colony

    The Pennsylvania colony was west of the Delaware river between what is now the New york and the Maryland rivers. The people there were under Royal controle. They made illegal trade and had problems with the govermet.
  • New Sweden

    New Sweden
    New Sweden was the only Swedish colony. The Dutch didn't want the Swedish colony there because the were realy close to the Dutch colony.
