  • Proclamation of 1763

    After the French and Indian War the British that made it so
    American colonists could not cross over the Appalachian Mountains.
  • sugar act

    Parliament passed the Sugar Act which made the American colonists pay taxes on sugar and molasses.
  • currency act

    prohibited the printing and issuance of paper money by colonial legislatures. Along with the punishments if they disobeyed. This was difficult because they had a currency shortage.

    In 1765 British Parliament passed the act that imposed taxes on all paper documents that were in the colonies.
  • quartering act

    Made the colonial legislatures responsible for paying for and providing for homes to house british regulars.
  • Declaratory Act

    The taxing authority was the same for America as in Great Britain. This was bad because it made sure that the american colonies were law binding.

    In 1767 Parliament passed this act to tax goods that were imported to the colonies.

    On March 5, 1770, a chaotic brawl between American colonists and British soldiers escalated to a bloody slaughter.

    the American Colonists were angry about the British “taxation without representation.” So they dumped 342 chests of tea into the harbor.

    In 1774 American colonists have forced to provide food, drink and fuel to British forces and use their homes.
