New mills were constructed to increase the production of flour, and where sold to the Melbourne Flour Company

The mill was destroyed by a fire in 1909. The ruins of the mill are still visible today.

Melbourne water added a fishway through the Weir to allow the fish to pass through the Weir. they did this as it was harming fish species as they where not able to get down stream to bread.
