Another part of this stage is speration anxiety from parents. Before a an infant develops object permanence he or she will express surprise when an object is covered because they think it is gone. When I was an infant my parents loved to play peek-a-boo with me because i would be very excited by them dissapearing.

(animism) Children don't understand conservation at this age, meaning if they pour liquid from a fat glass into a tall glass, they will think the liquid is more in the tall glass because it appears more full. I also expressed assimilation because I thought all buildings were houses.

This cage is characterized by the development of logical thought. Kids at this age will become more logical but still struggle with abstract ideas. I also experienced accomodation because i realized some buildings were restaurants and not houses. Understanding of reversability is an important part of this stage, subtraction is an easy way to know if one comprehends reversability. During this stage I began to comprehend mathematical concepts in school.
