In the third week of your pregnancy your baby is starting to develop consisting of many cells that are multiplying, Right now your baby is called a blastocyst because it is developing.

The fourth week is the begging of the embryonic period. It is the start of the development and som use of your babys organs from this week until week 10. This is the week where more careful the mother has to be because anything can interfere with the development of the baby.

In week 5 the baby is growing really fast and now is the size of sesame seed, The baby is now forming to be three layers the ectoderm, the mesoderm, and the endoderm. That which will help the formation of organs and tissue.

In week 6 is the major development are the nose, mouth, and ears.

On week 7 the formation of the arms and legs are starting to develop, but they still don't have the feet and hands with fingers completly developed.

In this week the formation of toes and fingers are starting to develop. The eyes are being protected by the eyelids that just formed. The breathing tubes extended from its throat to the developing lungs.

In this week is the last week of the first trimester. On week 12 your baby will define the formation of the fingers to open and close his or hers hands, toes will start to curl, and also its mouth will start to make movement. Your babys intestines that has grown so much thriugh the past weeks that they protrude into the umbilical cord and start to move into the abdomen.

The baby’s sex might have be able to be identified by week 15 or the upcoming weeks. Ovarian follicles might begin forming in a female and the prostate might appear in a male. The baby is growing rapidly and bones begin to develop.

The baby’s eyes might begin to move in week 16, and by week 18, the baby might even begin to hear. The baby’s movements become coordinated and may be visible in ultrasound exams. Fat also begins to accumulate beneath the baby’s skin. Fat will provide energy for the baby.

The pregnancy is halfway during week 20. After 18 weeks, the baby may have been able to move, the mother may feel it, and the baby might be 6 1/3 inches in height.

The baby’s skin is less see-through. Fingerprints and footprints are forming. Baby is becoming more active and gaining weight. Real hair will begin growing on his/her head and for boys, the testes are descending from the abdomen. For girls, the uterus and ovaries are developed, along with a lifetime supply of eggs.

By week 26, the baby may start responding to things like the sound of the mother’s voice with movement. The baby has already developed fingernails and lungs are beginning to produce surfactant. The baby may be 9-11 inches long and can weigh nearly 2 pound.

(Fetus) Baby’s hearing is developing, wrinkled skin begins to smooth out, fetal brain scans show response to touch, eyes begin to open and blink, hair is growing (eyelashes, on the head).

(Fetus) Gestational age begins. A pint and a half of amniotic fluid surrounds the baby. Brain connections form, bones fully developed. Fetus begins storing a lot of calcium, iron and phosphorus.

(Fetus) Average baby is about 51cm long and weighs about 3.4kg at birth. Labor normally occurs during this week(after 9 months have gone by). Newborns often have head temporarily misshaped from the birth canal and may be covered with vernix and blood.
