    Hungry americans smashgrovery store windows, take food, and run away because they have no way of gettng food.

    3,000 unemployed workers marched on a ford motor company plan in michigan. COmpany gaurds attacked the workers.

    The bank in the u.s in New York collapsed. It had more than 200 million in deposits and represented the largest single bank failure in the nation.
  • Reconstruction Finance (economic)

    Congress established the reconstruction finance corporation that lent 2 billion in recovery aid banks, building and loan association. Also farming organizations and insurance companies.
  • Roosevelt as president. (political)

    Roosevelt is elected president for the first time. Many americans did not think that Hoover did enough to help them and hope that Roosevelt will end the Depression.

    The FDIC was created as a way to ensure Americans bank deposits.
