The fox Brothers circus failed due to the great depression turns out this is how The Benzini Brothers became so big, they do business with the remainders of fallen circuses and buy pieces of these fallen circuses and hire show people who are unemployed. -
Jacob,August and Marlena
As a peace offering they go out to a secret club that gets busted. Alcohol is prohibited so the clubs were too and thet have to leave the place fast so they dont get caught. -

Franklin D Roosevelt pledges New Deal. Government programs to give food and shelter to the needy. Such as: the Agricultural Adjustment Act (AAA) , The Civilian Concervation Crops (CCC), TVA, WPA, ETC. Aimed to restore dignity and prosperity to many Americans. -
Jacob loses his house and his dad's practice
Jacob finds out that the bank fail and his dad lost everything the house and his practice. Jacon is left with nothing and this relates to the stock market crash because the bank failed because of the stock market. -

Roosevelt was the only president to be elected four times. He became the 32nd president in 1933. Also led the United States through the Great Depression and World War II. Roosevelt is known as the president who lifted the united states out of its economic despair. -

The Hundred Days Congress adjourns from its special session, having passed all fifteen bills requested by President Roosevelt. -
Economy in the circus
The economy in the circus wasnt doing so well because of the great depression so Uncle Al had to push people off the train to avoid paying them because he want doing so well. This shows the effect the crash had on everyone. -
Jamaican ginger
Camels gets effected by jake leg due to the probition of alcohol. The new jamaican ginger used to subitute alcohol caused paralysis these effects are shown when Jacob is summoned to check out Camel, Walter tells Jacob about Jake leg and the doctor comes and confirms it. Camel is paralized and his symptons are getting worse. -
