  • Proclamation of 1763

    Proclamation of 1763
    King George III had created the Proclamation which created struggles for the colonists and during a battle with France, the colonists had won and received territory in North America, England hoped to avoid conflict later on and to help keep control over the land that they own. The Proclamation of 1763 had created many conflicts within its time of being effective.
  • The Sugar Act

    The Sugar Act
    The Sugar Act was tax that the British Parliament passed onto the colonists because the British needed the money to recover from the Seven Years' War, the tax affect sugar, molasses, and wine. This is important because they don't want the British government taking over control of the colonists and the colonial leaders don't want the colonists to lose the ability to govern themselves.
  • The Stamp Act

    The Stamp Act
    The British Empire was in debt from a recent war (the Seven Years' War) and they needed a source of money to recover so the British Parliament pout out a tax for all paper documents. This caused a riot and many of the British tax collectors had quit/left their job.
  • The Boston Massacre

    The Boston Massacre
    The Boston Massacre was a conflict between American Colonists and British Soldiers that started out as a fight and soon turned into a shootout. This is important because it's what started the American Revolution.
  • The Boston Tea Party

    The Boston Tea Party
    The Boston Tea Party was a protest that had the American Colonists against the phrase "Taxation without Representation" and they dumped 342 boxes of tea into the Harbor. This caused the Coercive Acts to come into effect (later known to be the Intolerable Acts).

    The Intolerable Acts
    The Intolerable Acts occurred after the Boston Tea Party, 5 acts were placed in order to punish the Americans. This caused them more good than harm by uniting the colonies and getting them even closer to Revolution.
  • The Battle or Lexington and Concord

    The Battle or Lexington and Concord
    The battle of Lexington was a small battle that ended up having some of the American Militia dead while the rest of them retreated, the Battle of Concord was a much bigger battle that had the American Militia watch the British gather supplies and after a while, they cross the North Bridge and go kill the British and achieve victory. The battle of Lexington started the Revolution and the battle of Concord made some of the British retreat and prepare to fight again.

    The Battle of Bunker Hill
    The battle of Bunker Hill had given defeat to the colonists but even though they lost, they didn't give up and kept on trying but unfortunately, they ran out of ammo and had to retreat for good. This costed the British a heavy amount of soldiers and gave the Americans more courage to fight.
  • Declaration of Independence

    Declaration of Independence
    The Declaration of independence had separated Great Britain from the thirteen North American colonies as well as the colonies became free and independent. This is important because it separated the 13 North American colonies from Great Britain during the American Revolution.
  • The Townshend Acts

    The Townshend Acts
    The Townshend Acts were implemented when the British government needed to pay salaries for governors and judges. This is important because it kept making the American colonists want to resort towards Revolution.
