Isadora sought to teach the youth a more natural way of leaning. This approach was then utilized in dance education. Through the work in her school she set groundwork for the future of dance and education. -
Margaret Newell H'Doubler Created the First Dance Major at the University of Wisconsin
This was the first dance training within a university setting. This set in motion dance as a serious area of study in regards to education. -

Laban fused dance with scientific notation allowing a cross between two fields of study. Laban played an important role in how dance is taught. -

Embraced the arts more opely in education in America, this included dance in the area of art. More funding was given to the arts in school at the time. -

It is now the leader in dance in education, leading the way in setting stadards and disscuion of dance education on a national level. -
No Child Left Behind Program Established
More focus on testing and grades led to less talk about the arts. This negativley affected dance education at the time.
