ARPA (Advanced Research Projects Agency) and NASA is formed, this is really important because now that NASA has all the technology they need, they can start to make discoveries and gain knowledge, which is a very big step for our country. -
Mouse
The Computer Mouse: Douglas Engelbart invents and patents the first computer mouse (nicknamed the mouse because the tail came out the end). This was really important because now that there is a computer mouse, we can make using computers a lot easier and just a little less complicated. -
E-mail
E-mail: E-mail was invented by Ray Tomlinson. This was a huge milestone in not only the advancment of computers but also communicaiton! Now, people don't have to talk on the telephone, they can just quickly type an email to get the information to another person. -
Portable Computers
Portable computers: Altair produces the first portable computer. This was important because now instead of having to use the computer in just one stationary spot, you cn use it on the go and take it pretty much wherever you wanted. -
Google
Google: Google is founded by Sergey Brin and Larry Page on September 7, 1998. This was perhaps one of the most important steps in advancing with the computer technology. Now, instead of having to go to textbooks or taking a long time, people can just google search something that they want to know, with ease. -
Computer Game
The first computer game: The first computer game Spacewar Computer Game invented BY Steve Russell & MIT. This is important to the computer industry because obviously teenagers like video games, so it would increase their income. Also, now they have super advanced video games like the kinect.
