Hewlett-Packard

Hewlett-Packard is founded. David Packard, & Bill Hewlett found Hewlett-Packard in a Palo Alto, California, in a garage. Theri first product was the 200A audio oscillator, which rapidly becomes a popular with engineers.

Plankalkul (Programming Language)

Sep 13, 1945

Konrad Zuse began work on Plankalkul, the first algoriyhmic programming language.

The Williams Tube

Sep 13, 1947

The Williams Tube won the race for random-access memory (RAM).

Transistors

Dec 23, 1947

William Shockley, Walter Bratton, & John Bardeen, test the first point-contact transistor, paving the way for better, and more efficient transistors.

Basic

Thomas Kurtz, & John Kennedy created BASIC, an easy to use programming language.

Improved Modem

John Van Geen of Stanford, vastly imnproved the modem, by way of increasing the amount of information, that could be processed through.

First Email Sent

The first mail is sent by ray Tomlinson, & it read "QWERTYUIOP"
At the time, he was apparently working on a project for the miltary.

First PC Advertised

The Kenbak-1, was the first PC advertised for the scientific american.

Microsoft OS

Sep 13, 1981

The Microsoft based Operating system, becomes the main OS, for a newly released series of IBM computers, which were designed for offices.

Iomega ZIP

The Iomega zip disk is released, at the time, it was only capable of accepting floppy disks with a capacity of 100 MB, but later versions had a capacity of 2 GB
