John Backus and IBM created the first programming language. It was a very high level programming language too. This is important because the language could be used by many people and was a high level of language so it would be impressive.

Word Processors were invented by Seymour Rubenstein and Rob Barnaby. This is important because Word Processors give us the ability to type on a page document and ones writings can become virtual.
