    -20th century computers were human mathematicians who solved equation
    -(1820)Charles Babbage built the difference machine which was basically a calculator that was never fully made
    -He died before he made the engine
    -Ada Lovelace mechanically translated a book making her the 1st programmer
    -Computer technology was made 12 years after that

    Charles Babbage
    During his life time he made 2 machines. Before computers were mathamaticians who wrote books on equations and made many mistakes. Babbage made the Difference Machine but didn't finish it and it was the first calculator. Later he started making the Analythical Machine.
  • Ada Lovelace

    Ada Lovelace
    Ada Lovelace was the world's first programmer. This is because she had taken notes on how the Analythical Machine worked. She also was an English mathamatician and writer.
  • IBM

    IBM
    IBM stood for International Business Machines Corporation. They provide computers and other machinery for calculations.. They make computer hardware and software and are located in New York.
  • First Generation

    First Generation
    Main components were vaccum tubes.
    Memory was magnetic drum.
    The computers were huge and can take a whole room to fit.
    Examples are Univac and Eniac.

    1st Generation Computers start and end.
  • ENIAC

    ENIAC
    ENiAC was first annoucned in 1946. It was used for calculations in the United States Army's Ballistic Research Laboratory for the artillary firing tables. It toke up 1800 square meters. It was expensive and you would have to keep on replacing parts.

    Second Generation
    Main components were transistors.
    Memory was magnetic core.
    Examples are COBOL and FORTRAN.

    2nd Generation Computers start and end.
  • Third Generation

    Third Generation
    Main components were Integrated Circuits.
    Memory was RAM.
    These computers started having keyboards and monitors

    3rd Generation Computers start and end.
  • Fourth Generation

    Fourth Generation
    Main Components were Microproccessors.
    Memory is RAM.
    Modern day computers.
    Example:Acer S7, Hp Chromebook 11m and e.t.c,.

    4th Generation Computers start and end.
    There is no end date it is present.
  • Fifth Generation

    Fifth Generation
    They use Artificial Intelligence or AI and mostly will be used for androids or bots.
    This helps them understand voices, actions, feelings and e.t.c.
    This is still working proccess.

    From Present to Future.
