  • Treaty of Paris 1763

    This treaty in Paris ended the French and Indian Revolution, leaving the British to win the war and gain all the French territory West of the 13 British Colonies to the Mississippi River and all of Canada. Also including Spain who was on the loosing side with the French lost their claim of Florida

    Pontiac's Rebellion

    This is a war that started from the unsatisfactory Native Amerians, that allied with the loosing team (the Fench) of the French and Indian war. They were upset with the British winning and how they get treated by the British. Since the British did not have a good relationship with the Native Americans. Soon the Natives took note that the British were about to start war with them. This war was named after a cheif from the Ottawa, but there was still many other tibes that fought in the war.
  • Proclamation of 1763

    This was issused by the British Board of trade from King George III after the French aand Indian War to solve many goals. Some of the goals were to encourage peacful realtions between the Natives and the colonists, so they can keep their coast under control for trade purposes to and from England, and to set up governments for these new territories in North America.
  • Sugar Act

    The British set taxes on sugar and molasses that was imported into the colonies. This law was passed to pay war debts off from the French and indian war. By spending so much money for the war to protect the colonists, the British thought that the colonists should pay for most of the war debts. So this impacted what and how they were taxed, whether it was heavilty or lightly taxed.
  • Stamp Act

    The Stamp Act is when the British put taxes on every official paper or document, newspaper, and legal documents, this is for the colonist to contribute to paying the war debts. Another thing the colonists had to pay for was stamps and the stamp collectors would get all the blame for the taxes. But the colonists didn't want to pay all this money for stamps and taxes so they always got very mad at the stamp collectors.
  • Quartering Act

    The Quartering Act was for the British troops, they were to be given shelter and food, all out of the colonists pockets. This act is one of the serises of Intolerable Acts made because of the Boston Tea Party.
  • Declaratory Act

    This is a British law that was passed around the same time the Stamp Act became a failure and had to be repealed. The act meant that the British Parliment's taxing rights are supposed to be the same in England and America.
  • Townshend Acts

    Anything like glass, paper, tea, and esstial imports were all taxed. But the colonists just protested like they did before and caused another failure of paying war debts off for the British.
  • Tea Act

    Act on tea that caused the tea to become chearper than any onther distributer. Since the colonists were not asked for permission to create this act, left the colonists angry because they got no say in what the British do or say.
  • Boston Tea Party

    The Sons of Liberty go onto British Tea Ships and dump cargo into Boston Harbor.
  • Intolerable Act

    British response to the Boston Tea Party. They shut down Boston Harbor until the tea was paid for. And took away Massachusetts right to self-govern.
  • First Continental Congress

    12 of the 13 colonies send representatives to discuss the Intolerable Acts. This was the first time colonies unite in one government action.
