    Roanoke Colony was established in Roanoke Island now known as North Carolina. John White (the govern) and some crew men went searching for supplies leaving 100 men behind. When returning back those men vanished. John and his crew went searching to see what happen, he stumbling upon a craved tree (Crotoan). This brought questioning to go to Croatoan island but upon arriving they were no settlers. This is where the got the name Lost colony from. The men missing is still a mystery. Link-history.com

    Salutary Neglect
    The Salutary Neglect was a unconfirmed British policy which allowed American colonist to not abide by trade laws. The Salutary Neglect began in 1607 to 1760's, which causes to keep allegiances and loose control over colonies. They could abide these laws as long as the remain loyal to England. Cause of the Select Neglect, the colonies would have to manage, determine and rule themselves. The salutary neglect came form Edmund Burke's Speech of Conciliation.

    May 4th 1607, the Virgina Colony founded the first English settlement. Virginia Colony made a suggestion to find secret land for a permeant settlement. Disease, famine, starvation and enmity with Algonquian cause the first two years to be hard. After John Smith (captain) left, it caused many problems. The people of Jamestown fought with the Algonquian and leader Powhatan because they were using their land to supply food for the Jamestown people. A few years later, peace was made due to marriage

    Governor George announced that the Virginia company voted to restrain using martial law and create a legislative. This legislative was know as House of Burgesses.The house of Burgesses was the first legislative in American colony. The first meeting was in Jamestown Church on July 30,1619. This meeting included 22 burgesses representing 11 settlements. The House of burgesses helped handle taxes, community laws and George orders.

    The Great Migration was a period in the 1620 to 1642, where English Puritans fled to New England, Massachusetts. The fled composed of two thousand pilgrims who went to Plymouth colony and then to Massachusetts Bay Colony. Puritans and different sects fled to the New World for freedom to study their religion.

    The Pilgrims set sail on September 6th,1620 for the New World traveling on the Atlantic Ocean. The Pilgrims who set sail to the New World(Virginia) but due to weather conditions settled in Cape Cod(Massachusetts). Cap Cod was very close to Plymouth Rock, where the Pilgrims hunts were built. Since the Pilgrims landed without no government in control. They decided to make an compact know as the Mayflower Compact. Which consist of them governing themselves. The voyage took 66 days.

    Maryland colony was considered to be a southern colony. Maryland colony was founded by George Calvert, and Lord Baltimore. Calvert was given a charter for the land from King Charles. King Charles wife was named after the new colony. George Calvin died but his son Cecilius, finished establishing Massachusetts . The reason Maryland was founded was because of haven religious freedom for Catholics. Maryland was the 7th of the original 13 colonies.

Rhode Island was a lead to Industrial revelation. Rhode island refused Baptist, Quakers, Jews, and other religious groups.

    Also know as Concerning Religion. The Act was passed by Maryland colony on April 21,1649. The Maryland Toleration Act was a law that instructs religious tolerance for Christians. The Calvert family (founded Maryland) agreed with this act to protect catholic settlers. William Claiborne was the first to withdraw the law, but was permeant in 1692 because of the Glorious Revolution.

    North Carolina was founded by Virginia colonist (Lords Proprietors) in 1653. South Carolina colony was founded by eight nobles in 1633. Charles 2 allowed land of Carolina to the eight men for financial and political assistance. In 1660, the Proprietors realized it was hard to have only one governor, and manage the whole Carolina. North and South Carolina were one colony until 1729. South Carolina had largest slave population.

    This is a armed rebellion between Virginia settlers(led by Bacon) and William Berkely. This rebellion was because colony's dismissive policy, leaving Bacon out of inner circle, Berkeley's refusal to reliate for Native American attacks on settlements and refusing Bacon in with fur trade with Indians. Many Virginians rose up against Berkeley, attacking Indians, and ultimately torching the capital. This was the first rebellion in the American colonies in which frontiersmen took part. link-too long

    Salem witch trail started with a bunch of girls getting accused of wit craft which lead to the town to accuse false accusation. Salem witch trails were a series of prosecutions accusing people of being witches. They accuse them with little or no evidence. Salem witchcraft trails started in Massachusetts. The 3 people who first accused of being witches are Tituba, Sarah Good, and Sarah Osborn. Many people were hung, pressed with rocks and killed for foolish accusations.

    In 1730, The Great Awakening was a time of religious revivals through British American colonies. Jonathan Edward and George Whitfield first barked on this idea. Johnathan sermons were mainly about scaring people into faith.Before the Awakening, Christians faded away from worship and the Great Awakening brought them back and even better. Enlightenment was the use of scientific and intellectual reason. Enlightenment started in 1700, by Benjamin Franklin.

This brought King George 3 to state that he bans settlement past a line in Appalachian Mountains. This yields valueless land allowed by British governments to Americans who brawled for the crown against France. American colonist got angry at this proclamation due to their new farm land discovery . This proclamation was a cause of the American Revolution.
